Czech Republic to vaccinate 7 million people against corona by August

Czech Republic has already started its vaccination drive against coronavirus. Ministry of Health expects that about 7 million people will be vaccinated by August 2021.

 Minister Jan Blatny informed that To date, 382,416 people have received vaccinations, 116,633 of them for the second time. We hope to accelerate the supply of vaccines in April, so that in August about 7 million of our fellow citizens are vaccinated.

About 60 percent of citizens of the nation announced their intention to get vaccinated. Currently, the first stage of vaccination is underway, during which vaccinations are given to people over 80, patients and staff of nursing homes, as well as doctors who directly work with coronavirus patients.
Meanwhile, talking about global corona cases, the cases crosses 107.4 million marks across the globe.. While 79,428,653 have recovered, 2,348,727 have died so far. The US remains the worst-hit country with 27,793,890, followed by India, Brazil, Russia and the United Kingdom. However, it terms of the total number of active cases, US tops the charts, followed by France, UK, Brazil and Belgium.
