Tibetan religious leader Dalai Lama's trust not received donations abroad

A trust run in the name of the Dalai Lama, the Tibetan religious leader, has received quarterly foreign aid of only Rs 3750 from abroad. This trust from abroad has not received much help in the last three months. His Holiness The Dalai Lama Charitable Trust has received a donation of 24 thousand 830 rupees from October to December.

According to media reports, it has received 21 thousand 80 rupees from Dalhousie Handicraft Center of Dalhousie, Himachal Pradesh. 1000 rupees from Costa Rica, 1750 rupees from Rome of Italy and another 1000 rupees from Costa Rica. His Holiness The Dalai Lama Charitable Trust is different from the prestigious The Dalai Lama Trust.

For your information, let us tell you that the Dalai Lama Trust has received financial assistance of Rs 56 lakhs from different countries in the same period of last three months. This information has been given to the Union Home Ministry by both the trusts themselves. Both trusts are established in Dharamshala.
