Gurugram: The Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama on Wednesday emphasised the ups and downs between China and India amid the ongoing hostilities between the two.

While delivering a public speech on "On Wednesday in Gurugram, the Tibetan spiritual leader observed, "India and China are the two most populous countries. Compassionate and secular principles - Educating the heart and intellect. There have been far too many ups and downs lately. India is a democratic country that honours all faiths. The traditions of India are excellent. Therefore, the young Indians should uphold India's millennia-old secular culture."
The spiritual head of Tibet also clarified the Indian ideas of karuna and ahimsa and asked everyone to protect them. "Sincerity is ultimately what our planet needs. Neither communities nor religions are distinguished. We exchange smiles and say a group prayer. The Indian concepts of "Karuna" and "Ahimsa" are crucial, and we must protect them "  he added.

The Dalai Lama emphasised that today, neighbours are being destroyed using human brains as weapons. "So, we are now taking a look about. There is so much murder and bloodshed that it has sparked a desire to develop nuclear weapons. There has been too much violence in recent ages. The human brain is being employed to create weapons, learn how to murder, and destroy your neighbour. That is entirely incorrect, " he added.

The leader emphasised that it is up to us to create a future free of weapons that are both peaceful and violent. "Because we are all equal as humans, we must all coexist peacefully. When we pray for world peace, we acknowledge that neither peace nor bloodshed will fall from the sky; instead, everything depends on us. We basically have this nation, that nation, this religion, and that religion in our heads. That leads to conflict. That is not current. Disputes should be settled while keeping in mind that we are all related to one another, and we should work to create a world without weapons " he added.
