Bangalore: A few days ago, the Congress formed a new government in Karnataka. Since then, action has been taken against two people for criticizing the government. Earlier, a teacher was suspended for allegedly taking loans from Siddaramaiah in his previous tenure. Now a Dalit activist has been arrested in the state. The Dalit activist has been accused of criticising state Home Minister G Parameshwara.  

According to the report, the Dalit activist from Mandya district had written a post on social media criticising Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara. He has been arrested for this post. In fact, the Dalit activist had called G Parameshwara an incompetent person and said that he had links with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), which is the parent organization of the BJP. Dalit activist Shivraj Marliga wrote on social media that G Parameshwara is an incompetent person. He couldn't save his own son. He did not uphold Ambedkar's principles. He now belongs to the RSS. As soon as the post went viral on social media, senior Congress leader KM Dodi filed a complaint against the Dalit activist. A case was registered under IPC section 153 (promoting any kind of conflict or enmity between different groups on grounds of religion). After this, the police arrested Shivraj Marliga on the basis of the complaint of the Congress leader.

Teacher who said siddaramaiah government's loan was slapped

In fact, after the swearing-in ceremony of the Congress government, Shanti Murthy MG had criticized the policies of the Siddaramaiah government through social media. During the tenure of former SM Krishna, SM Krishna took loans worth Rs 3,590 crore, HD Kumaraswamy Rs 3,545 crore, BS Yeddyurappa Rs 25,653 crore, Jagadish Shettar Rs 13,464 crore, Dharam Singh Rs 15,635 crore and DV Sadananda Gowda Rs 9,464 crore. While the Siddaramaiah government (2013-18) had taken a loan of Rs 2,42,000 crore. The teacher wrote in his post that from the time of SM Krishna to Shettar, the Chief Ministers took a total loan of Rs 71,331 crore, but during Siddaramaiah's tenure, the loan amount reached Rs 2,42,000 crore.  

Therefore, it has been very easy for the Siddaramaiah government to announce free schemes and gifts. However, as soon as this post surfaced, the teacher was attacked and the teacher was suspended with immediate effect. Deputy Director K Ravishankar Reddy said the teacher had violated the Karnataka Civil Services (Conduct) Rules, following which the department decided to suspend the teacher.  In fact, these issues are also arising because prominent Congress leader Rahul Gandhi often says that teacher is not allowed to speak and the central government puts those who criticize him in jail, the central government suppresses the voice. But now that his own government in Karnataka is arresting a Dalit activist for calling a leader incompetent on social media, questions are being raised about the words and deeds of the Congress.
