Vijayapura: A case of beating of a young man has come to light in Vijayapura district of Karnataka. A video of this case is going viral on social media, in which some people are seen beating a young man with shoes, and sticks. It is also being told that the boy who was beaten by the mob was a Dalit. It is being said that the victim Dalit youth had touched the bike of the upper caste people, after which the young man was beaten. After this video went viral, the police became active and filed a case against the accused. The case of beating of a Dalit youth is from Vijayapura, about 530 km from Bangalore.

The Dalit youth somehow escaped from the crowd and ran away from there to save his life. He reached the police station and got the case registered. In this regard, senior police officer Anupam Aggarwal has said that a case of beating a Dalit youth of Meenaji village in Talikot area has come to light. This case has been registered on Sunday. The police officer has said in this case that the youth has alleged that he had accidentally touched the bike of an upper-caste man. Angered by this, the owner of the vehicle, beat him with his family members.

The police officer has said that a case has been registered against the accused in different sections of SC / ST Act and IPC. At present, the accused are being questioned. The police officer has further said that while people are being spoken for physical distance during Corona Concentration period, a crowd is seen in the video of beating of Dalit youth.
