Dehradun: A major accident took place in Uttarakhand on Sunday morning. Eight persons died when a trolley full of devotees overturned near Kichcha. However, the administration has also confirmed the news of 5 deaths. At least 37 people were injured in the accident. who are being treated.

As soon as the news of the accident spread near Udham Singh Nagar district, a large crowd of people gathered at the spot. Police and district administration personnel are engaged in relief and rescue work at the spot. Around 45 to 50 devotees, residents of Basgar village in Shakti Farm area, were on their way to pay obeisance at a gurdwara in Uttam Nagar, which falls in the Uttar Pradesh region on the border. It is being said that the recitation of Guru Granth Sahib and langar ceremony are held every Sunday at Uttam Nagar Gurdwara. In which the devotees came out in a trolley to join.

Sirsa Chowki falls in the Baheri police station area of Bareilly district. After the tractor trolley reached near the outpost, the truck coming from behind hit the dangerous one at an uncontrollable speed. Due to this, the trolley overturned uncontrollably. As a result, the trolley crashed. The injured people were scattered around the road in the accident that took place at around 9 am on Sunday, locals reported the matter to the police. After which relief and rescue work was started. 5 people have been confirmed dead on the spot. However, police officials are refusing to say anything in this matter. It is being said that the number of dead may be higher. After getting information on the spot, policemen from Pulbhatta police station of Udham Singh Nagar district also reached for assistance. At the same time, a heavy police force was sent from the Bareilly district. The injured persons have been sent to various hospitals for treatment. Many injured persons have also been sent for treatment at the CHC in Kichcha.
