Dangerous blast ahead of CM's visit, 2 live IEDs recovered

Kanker: The IED blast has taken place ahead of CM Bhupesh Baghel's visit to Chhattisgarh's Kanker on Friday. A BSF jawan was injured in the incident. The jawan was going to camp on a motorcycle with his sick partner. Subsequently, security forces seized two live IEDs from the area. At present, the search is going on in the area. The incident took place in the Koyalibeda area.

According to the news received, the BSF jawan was taking one of his sick companions from the Panidobir camp to the Koyalibeda camp on a motorcycle at around 9-10 am on Friday. He had just reached Markanar village on Koyalibeda Road when the dangerous explosion took place. In the accident, both the soldiers jumped and fell down. Due to this, the jawan riding the motorcycle was injured. Due to this, other soldiers running along with them picked up both of them and admitted them to the hospital. At present, his condition is said to be out of danger.  

It is being said that the jawan has suffered an injury on his face. Other soldiers are safe. Kanker SP Shalabh Sinha confirmed the matter. After receiving the news, the BSF DG left for the spot. CM Bhupesh Baghel is on a one-day visit to the Bastar division from Friday. He has reached Dantewada from Raipur and Jagdalpur from there. After some time, he will reach Kanker. There, CM Baghel is going to inaugurate a small crop processing and value-addition unit in the Charma area. Security has been beefed up after the IED blast.
