Panna: Along with the fear of fourth wave of corona virus in Madhya Pradesh, a new dreadful disease has also knocked. The outbreak of this disease spread by rats is being seen in 6 districts including Panna, due to which an alert has been issued for scrub typhus in the cities of Satna, Damoh, Sidhi, Singrauli, Balaghat, Jabalpur including Panna.

Recently, the Health Research Institute, Jabalpur Lab has confirmed the cases received from this disease. After the alert is issued, the health department is taking special precautions. Let us tell you that even before this in 2021, about 17 cases of this disease were reported in Jabalpur and Mandsaur districts of the state, while 52 patients were found to be suspicious. At present, it has also been decided to conduct research projects with the help of AIIMS Bhopal in the alert cities through the Directorate of Medical and Health Services of Madhya Pradesh.

Scrub typhus disease is caused by a bacterium called Orienta sutsugamusi. This bacterium is caused by infected larvae of a mite living above. When rats bite humans, larvae infected with a bacterium called Orienta sutsugamusi of the mite cause a rash on the bite area of ​​the rat, which later dries up as a wound. Later on, it starts showing like black spots. Talking about the symptoms of the disease, a person has fever, headache, pain in joints and muscles, difficulty in looking at light, cough, rash in some parts of the body. At the same time, some people also get pneumonia and meningitis due to increasing effect of the disease. Symptoms of this disease can last for 2 weeks.
