Dangerous explosion in LPG cylinder, 10 people scorched to death

Mandi: A major fire broke out when an LPG cylinder exploded in a residential house in Ramnagar in Mandi town of Himachal Pradesh. In the accident, 10 persons living in the house were burned to death. The injured include two couples and their six children. It is being said that Yogesh Kumar and Rakesh Kumar of UP lived in two rooms on rent in Ramnagar. On Tuesday morning, when the family members were having food, there was a sudden dangerous explosion in the LPG cylinder due to the gas leak, though both the rooms caught fire.

Both families were on fire. Hearing the sound of the explosion, people from nearby areas also rushed to the spot and started rescue operations. All of them have been immediately brought to zonal hospital Mandi. One's condition is said to be serious. SP Mandi Shalini Agnihotri said that investigation into the accident is on. A family of two brothers from UP were living in the house.

On the other hand, Himachal Pradesh has recently recorded an increase in the temperature due to clear weather conditions. This has given some relief to the individuals from the cold. IMD Shimla has forecast clear weather in other parts of the state except for one or two high mountainous places till February 17. On February 18 and 19, rain and snowfall are expected in one or two places each in the middle and high hills. The weather will be clear in the plains. On the other hand, the weather in capital Shimla and other parts of the state has remained clear since this morning.
