Lucknow: A new video released by Darul Uloom Deoband in Uttar Pradesh has described the birthday as a festival of Christians and urged Muslims not to celebrate it. Maulana's name in the video is Asad Qasmi. Qasmi has also appealed to Muslims to refrain from adopting the ways of Christians while following the path of the Quran and Hadith.

Let me tell you that Maulana Asad Qasmi, whose video is going viral, is also the Mohtamim of Jamia Sheikhul Hind. In the viral video, Maulana referred to the Prophet Muhammad of Muslims and said that there is no mention of celebrating birthdays anywhere in their lives. With this, Maulana has told that Muhammad's Sahaba (companions) also never celebrated his birthday. Stating that Muslims celebrating birthdays is beyond their understanding, Qasmi said that birthdays are celebrated by Christians, on which Muslims are also stepping.

Describing the birthday as a conspiracy to create a new thing in Shariat, Maulana Qasmi has termed it as something outside Islamic laws. Along with this, Maulana urged Muslims to stop the practice of adopting non-methods. Referring to a hadith, he said that anyone who adopts the methods of another (religion) will be punished on the day of judgment. Maulana requested Muslims to follow the path shown by the Messenger of Allah and stand under their flag on the day of judgment. The habit of Muslims adopting things outside the Quran and Hadith has been described by┬аMaulana┬аas 'Khurafat'.
