Melbourne: Australia opener David Warner has said that it is very difficult for him to get full fitness before the third Test match against India. He, however, said that he would make every effort to live up to the trust of the selection panel and team management.

David Warner was hurt in the groin during the second ODI against India and he is finding it difficult to fit fully for the third Test from 7 to 11 January. He also did not play in the first 2 Tests of the series where innings openers Joe Burns and Matthew Wade failed to meet expectations. Regarding Fitnet, Warner said, 'We have to take part in training sessions today and tomorrow, so I can't give you more indication of what my position is right now. I have not practised for the last few days, but after today's and tomorrow's training, there will be a better indication of my situation. Will I be 100% fit? It is very difficult.'

His next statement, however, reveals the keenness of Cricket Australia and the team management to feed him. Warner said, 'But I will make every effort to get on the field and play. If it also means that I am not 100% fit, even if the selectors give the green signal, I will try everything possible.'
