New Delhi: Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) chief Swati Maliwal has made a big statement on the Shraddha Walker murder case. Swati Maliwal has blamed the country's system for Shraddha's murder and said that, as long as the country's system remains hollow in this way, girls will continue to die like this.
Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) chief, Swati Maliwal has also questioned the investigation that followed the complaint made by Shraddha in 2020. She has said that why did the police not take action at that time. In Fact, in May, Aftab Poonawalla killed his live-in partner Shraddha Walker in the Mehrauli area of Delhi. After killing her, Aftab cut Shraddha's body into 35 pieces and threw them in the forest. Almost 2 years before that, on November 23, 2020, Shraddha had complained to the police. Shraddha had told in the complaint how Aftab abuses her and threatens to kill her and cut her into pieces.
Shraddha had written in her complaint that Aftab had tried to kill her that day. Shraddha wrote, 'Aftab beats and abuses me, and today he has tried to kill me by strangulating me, he threatens to kill me and cut me into pieces, for six months he has been beating me, I do not have the courage to go to the police because he'll kill me.' Shraddha had also told in her complaint that Aftab's parents knew the whole matter. However, the police did not take any action at that time. Police said that Shraddha had withdrawn her case, due to which they did not take action.
