Varanasi: Cardiologist Dr. Abhishek Vikram Singh, who had gone to Goa from Banaras in Uttar Pradesh, has been arrested along with his female friend. Both are accused of taking cocaine during a weekend party at a five-star hotel. The Kalangat police in Panaji have arrested both of them. Police are investigating the case.  

According to the report, Dr. Abhishek Vikram Singh, who was arrested, is the son of the former minister. He has a hospital in Tagore Town in Varanasi's Orderly Bazar. The news of the arrest of Dr. Abhishek Vikram Singh spread like wildfire in Varanasi. It is being told that the Doctor and his female friend have been booked by the Panaji Police on charges of taking cocaine. Both were arrested on Wednesday.  

According to Panaji police, the doctor has informed that the woman caught with him is his family friend. Both arrived in Panaji on Saturday. Stayed at a five-star hotel there and attended the weekend party. During this time both consumed prohibited tablets. Due to this, the woman's health deteriorated and she had to be taken to the hospital. The circumstances under which the doctor and his friend took the drugs and from where are being investigated.
