DDMA Delhi to hold Omicron review meeting today

New Delhi: In light of the growing number of Omicron cases in the national capital, the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) has scheduled a virtual meeting for Monday at 11.30 a.m. The review meeting will be attended by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and other government officials.

According to the DDMA's official notification, the meeting will be held via video conferencing, with Lt Governor Anil Baijal presiding. They will discuss the recent increase in Omicron cases in Delhi as well as the current state of coronavirus.

Apart from the designated DDMA members, Delhi's Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, Health Minister Satyendar Jain, NITI Aayog's Member, Health, Dr V.K. Paul, Indian Council of Medical Research Director-General, Prof Balram Bhargava, NDMA members Krishna Vatsa and Kamal Kishore, AIIMS Director, Dr Randeep Guleria, NCDC Director Dr Sujit Kumar Singh, and Director Education (Delhi government)

According to a Delhi Health Department bulletin issued on Sunday, the city had 107 new cases of novel coronavirus, the most in the previous six months, and one person died as a result of the illness.
