Deadly Texas Car Crash Claims Lives of Five Andhra Family Members

A devastating collision between a pickup truck and a minivan on U.S. Highway 67 in Texas has resulted in the loss of six lives, five of whom belonged to a family from Andhra Pradesh, India. The incident, which occurred on Wednesday, has left a deep impact on the local community.

Ponnada Venkata Satish Kumar, a lawmaker from the YSR Congress Party representing Mummidivaram in Andhra Pradesh, shared with the press that the victims were closely related to him and hailed from Amalapuram in the Dr B R Ambedkar Konaseema district.

Among the deceased, Satish Kumar identified his uncle, P Nageshwara Rao, along with Nageswar Rao’s wife, Seetha Mahalakshmi, their daughter Naveena, grandson Kruthik, and granddaughter Nishita. Unfortunately, the identity of the sixth victim remains unknown. Additionally, Nageshwara Rao’s son-in-law, Lokesh, survived the collision but sustained severe injuries, currently listed as critical.

Reports indicate that the crash transpired on US Highway 67 and County Road 1119 in the Nemo area, as confirmed by Fox4.

In efforts to aid the family during this tragic time, Kolla Ashok Babu, the treasurer of the Telugu Association of North America (TANA), and Polavarapu Srikanth, treasurer of the Telugu Foundation, are actively involved in providing necessary support to repatriate the bodies to India.
