Mumbai: Investigation into Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death case continues. Deepesh Sawant, who works for Sushant, is on remand of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) till September 9. But in the meantime, Deepesh's lawyer has filed a petition against NCB for keeping him more than 24 hours in the custody. The court has sought a response from the investigating agency.

Deepesh Sawant's lawyer Rajendra Rathore said Deepesh Sawant has been in the custody of NCB since September 4 and his family has not been informed in this regard. He should have been produced in court within 24 hours of being detained. We have filed a petition against detention for more than 24 hours. The court has asked the NCB to respond in this regard.

The lawyer said that the only role he had in the case was that Deepesh was sushant's employee. We have filed a petition against him being wrongly taken into custody. A day earlier, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) had detained Deepesh Sawant in another arrest in the Sushant Singh Rajput case. Earlier, ncb had arrested Rhea Chakraborty's brothers Showik Chakraborty and Samuel Miranda on Friday.
