Deepika Padukone allegedly attended a book launch where she interacted with the media and shared her experience with gender pay disparity and revealed that she rejected a movie offer due to the same reason as she thought it was unfair to her credibility as an actor.
In a  pink off-shoulder ruffle detail top paired with red high-waisted pants and fuschia heels, Deepika Padukone attended the event and confidently talked about how she feels about the pay disparity issue.
The actress asserted, "I know my track record and what I'm worth. I know that his films haven't been doing well as my films have been doing. It made absolutely no sense. I was okay to say no to that film based on that one thing as I thought it was unfair." She later added, "I'm ready to take those steps and measures and decisions for myself because I want to be able to sleep peacefully at night."
Deepika is an extremely loved and respected actress not just nation wide but also across the world. More power to women and may the pay disparity vanish soon.
