New Delhi: Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh is meeting today in the midst of the ongoing tension in India-China. CDS Bipin Rawat will take part in this meeting apart from the heads of the three army. In the meeting, a thorough review of the ground situation in Ladakh and preparations along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) will be taken.

Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has already discussed this issue with the three army chiefs. Water, land and air force are on full alert after the violent conflict between the Indo-China Army in Ladakh. The decision to keep the three forces on alert was taken during the meeting of Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Chief of Army Defense (CDS) General Bipin Rawat and the chiefs of the three forces on 18 June. It is noteworthy that the Indian Army is keeping a close watch on the 3500 km China border.

All three forces have been kept on high alert. The Navy is also increasing its deployment in the Indian Ocean region to send a strong message to the Chinese Navy. With this, the Army has already deployed additional personnel at all its major front-line bases along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Arunachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Ladakh. Airforce has already raised the alert level to monitor LAC and border area in all its forward line bases. Airforce chief RKS Bhadoria has said that we will protect our sovereignty under all circumstances. The security scenario in our region suggests that our armed forces are ready and alert at all times. We are ready to handle the situation after getting little information on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Ladakh.
