THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will inaugurate the ninetieth Sivagiri pilgrimage at Kerala's  Sivagiri Madhom, Varkala,  at on Friday late morning.
V. Muraleedharan, Union Minister of State for External Affairs, will attend as the main guest. Swami Sachidananda, president of the Sree Narayana Dharma Sanghom Trust, will preside.
Swami Sachidananda will hoist the pilgrimage flag. On this occasion, two books will be published: "Gurudevante Suvarnarekhakal" by Swami Sachidananda and "Daivadasakam Enna Daivopanishad" by Geetha Suraj.

For a two-day visit to the district, Rajnath. Singh arrived in the state's capital on Thursday. V. Muraleedharan, Union Minister of State for External Affairs, welcomed him when he arrived.

Due to  Singh's visit to the Sivagiri Madhom, there will be traffic restrictions on the National Highway on Friday from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m., said Thiruvananthapuram Rural police.

The route that should be taken by vehicles travelling from Thiruvananthapuram to Kollam is Vettu Road, Pothencode, Venjaramoodu, Kilimanoor, Puthiyakavu, Pallickal, and Paripally. The Moonumukku, Venjaramoodu, Pothencode, and Vettu Road route should be used by cars travelling in the direction of Thiruvananthapuram. The seaside road should be used by heavy vehicles.
