Dehradun: A truck hit a motorcycle near the Asha Check Post in Dehradun city of Uttarakhand on Tuesday morning. Two boys have died on the spot in the incident. The truck driver has fled from the spot. The deceased have been identified as Jatin son(17 years) of Tilkaraj resident Faridpur, and Sandeep Kumar (30 years) son of Ramlal resident Ahlwalpur Charthanwal Muzaffarnagar.

As per the information received, the youth were moving from Dehradun to Saharanpur. The truck was coming to Dehradun from Saharanpur. Suddenly the truck hit the car. Police say the boys died on the spot. Their family members have been informed. On the other hand, a truck rammed into the shop late in the night near Selkui Chowk. The incident is reported to have taken place at 3 pm late in the night. There was no one in the shop which averted a major incident. The matter is now under investigation by the police.

Apart from this, In Uttarakhand, more than one thousand cases have been reported in the last few days. On Monday, 1043 new infected patients have been found in the state. With this, the number of infected patients in the state has crossed 33 thousand. The number of active cases has gone up to 10374. So far 22077 patients have returned home in the state. Corona cases are continuously increasing in the state.
