NEW DELHI: Kailash Gahlot, the finance minister of Delhi, is presenting the budget-2023-24 to the Delhi assembly. This comes after the budget was purportedly delayed by the Ministry of Home Affairs, a claim that the Arvind Kejriwal-led government disputed. 

Gahlot is making his first budget presentation. Manish Sisodia had previously delivered each of the previous eight budgets. Through the Union home ministry, the President must approve the budget.

29 new flyovers are being built, and Kailash Gahlot, the finance minister for Delhi, says 1,600 e-buses would be in service by the end of 2023.
