Delhi IGI: Bad Weather Causes Disruption 34 Flights Delayed

New Delhi: As many as 34 domestic departure flights from the Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi were delayed due to bad weather and other related issues on Saturday, January 7,  the airport authorities said.
 
Over 12 arriving planes from various destinations were delayed at Indira Gandhi International Airport due to intense cold wave conditions and dense fog that are now affecting North India, including the nation's capital.
 
Due to reduced visibility caused by fog, Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi has issued a warning and begun procedures.
 
The threat of reduced visibility at the airport has been addressed, according to a statement made by airport authorities in a warning to travellers on Saturday.
 
All flight operations are currently operating normally, they said.
 
Airport authorities in an advisory to the passengers on Saturday said that several procedures have been undertaken at the airport to tackle the menace of low visibility at the airport.
 
Cold wave conditions and a dense fog is being seen all over North India, including New Delhi.
