New Delhi: Karawal Nagar Election Result 2020, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has fielded Durgesh Pathak in Karawal Nagar Assembly seat, while Mohan Singh Bisht is contesting on behalf of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Congress has given tickets to Arbind Singh.

At the Karawal Nagar Assembly seat, Mohan Singh Bisht is from the BJP. While Congress made Aurobind Singh its candidate against Bisht, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) gave Durgesh Pathak a chance. Kapil Mishra had won on the Aam Aadmi Party ticket in the 2015 assembly elections. He defeated BJP candidate Mohan Singh Bisht by 44431 votes. While Kapil Mishra got 101865 votes, BJP candidate Mohan Singh got 57434 votes. Kapil Mishra joined BJP this time.

It is also being noted that this time around 62.59% polling has been done in Delhi. The commission released these figures after about 24 hours of voting, on which the Aam Aadmi Party raised questions. This time a total of 672 candidates were in the fray for 70 assembly seats in Delhi. Earlier, the Bumper victory of the Aam Aadmi Party was projected in exit polls. According to Aaj Tak Axis My India poll, the Aam Aadmi Party was projected to get 59 to 68 seats. The BJP was expected to get 2 to 11 seats, while the Congress was told not to get a single seat.
