New Delhi: A three-year-old girl was allegedly raped in Delhi's Karol Bagh area, police said on Saturday. On receiving the complaint, the police registered an FIR and detained the 13-year-old minor. The incident took place on Thursday. According to the information, Mamta (name changed) lives in the Karol Bagh area with her husband and two children.

On Thursday evening, Rajni had left her 8-year-old son and a 3-year-old girl in the house and went to the market. Meanwhile, a teenager living in the neighbourhood entered their house. He sent the son to another room and raped the girl. When Rajni returned home, she saw blood in the girl's clothes and asked her son and he told her about the whole incident. Rajni then informed her husband about the incident. The police were informed about it.

The police have registered a case and arrested the accused. Since the accused is a minor, his name has not been revealed. While the police are preparing to send her to a juvenile home, the victim has been admitted to the hospital for treatment.
