Preparations are in full swing for republic day in the country's capital Delhi. In such a situation, the wheel is also being chalked out keeping in view the security. In the same episode, Delhi will ban the operation of sub-traditional air platforms including drones (UAVs), paragliders and hot air balloons from today. In fact, this order is going to be in effect till 15th February. Recently, Delhi Police Chief Rakesh Asthana has given an order and as per the order, "On the occasion of Republic Day Celebrations-2022, all convectional aerial platforms like Para-Glider, Para-Motors, Hang Glider, UAV, UAS, Microlight Aircraft, Remotely Pilot Aircraft, Hot Air Balloon, Small Sized Operated Aircraft, Quadcopter or Para are prohibited."

At the same time, Delhi Police further said 'According to the report, it was decided that the use of sub-conventional air platforms for India by some criminal or anti-social element or terrorist threatens the security of the general public, dignitaries and important establishments.' Recently Delhi Police Chief Asthana has said "This order will come into force from January 20 and will remain in force for a period of 27 days i.e. 15-02-2022 (both days inclusive), unless it is withdrawn earlier."

Let me tell you that Delhi police has "beefed up security" after intelligence agencies came to know about the threat of terrorist attack in Delhi-National Capital Region (NCR) ahead of Republic Day. Let us tell all of you that earlier, Delhi police had said, "Red Fort will remain closed to the common people for 5 days.'' In a statement, Delhi Police has informed about the same. In fact, the Delhi Police said, "The Red Fort will be closed to common citizens and tourists from 22nd January 2022 till 26th January 2022 for security reasons on Republic Day.''
