New Delhi: Delhi CM and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) President Arvind Kejriwal has launched a campaign to tackle air pollution. He has urged people to stop the engine of vehicles during a stay on the traffic signal (red light) on Thursday. Kejriwal has launched a ' Red Light On Gaadi Off ' campaign from today to fight pollution in the capital.

Kejriwal has urged the drivers to take all the resolutions that they will stop their car on the red light. Kejriwal has said that the closure of the vehicle on the red light will help in reducing pollution and also save the vehicle owner. Kejriwal has said, "A vehicle spends about 15-20 minutes every day on red light and consumes 200 ML of oil. If you start closing the vehicle on the red light, you can save Rs 7000 a year. "

In a tweet, CM Kejriwal said, "It has to be believed that every year, pollution spreads due to burning of pollen in North India and we have to fight together to address this. Doing politics and accusing each other will not achieve anything, people are suffering. The pollution crisis in the time of corona is a matter of concern. "
