New Delhi: Free electricity facility will now be available only to those people who demand it in the national capital. The Arvind Kejriwal government in Delhi has revised its subsidy scheme for electricity. So far, the Delhi government provides free electricity up to 200 units to everyone in Delhi and provides subsidies for using electricity from 201 to 400 units. However, from October 1, this facility will be available only to those who apply for it. This announcement has been made by CM Arvind Kejriwal while addressing a press conference on Wednesday.

Kejriwal said that on the demand of the people of Delhi, the government has decided that from October 1, only those who demand will get a subsidy on electricity. You have to apply for it. The application process for the subsidy has been started. He claimed that the government has taken this decision on the demand of Delhiites. CM Kejriwal said that some people demanded that we can pay the electricity bill. They demanded that they be given the option to take or give up a subsidy.

Therefore, the application for subsidy on electricity is starting on Wednesday. Those who apply in the month will get a subsidy from the same month. Along with this, everyone will have to fill out the form once every year and ask for a subsidy, so that those who do not want a subsidy can get an opportunity to give up the subsidy. He further said that I hope that those who can pay the electricity bill, pay the bill and those who do not need it, will give up their subsidy.
