New Delhi: Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday said the Delhi government will set up a special task force to protect children from the third wave of corona virus. He said the decision was taken in a high level meeting with officials on Wednesday. CM Kejriwal himself has informed about this.
Kejriwal tweeted, "If the third wave of Agarcorona comes, we have to be prepared in advance to fight it, today we took some important decisions in a meeting with the officials- 1. Special Task Force to save children from third wave, 2. Better management of adequate beds, oxygen and essential medicines". Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal had convened a high level review meeting at 12 noon on Wednesday amid concerns over the third wave of COVID-19 in the country.
Deputy CM Manish Sisodia, Health Minister Satyendra Jain and Chief Secretary were also present in the meeting. Earlier this month, CM Kejriwal had said that Delhi should be prepared for the third wave of corona. Delhi recorded the lowest number of 4,482 cases of corona virus infection for the first time since April 5 on Tuesday and 265 patients died, while the infection rate is 6.89 per cent.
