New Delhi: Corona vaccination of youth, aged 18-44 years, is set to stop in the country's capital Delhi from Saturday. Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has informed in this regard. Talking to reporters in New Delhi, he said, the vaccination of youth in Delhi will stop by this evening as the vaccine has expired near Delhi.

CM Kejriwal said he has demanded a vaccine from the Central government. A letter has been written to the Centre for the same. He said Delhi needs 80 lakh vaccines per month. But, in May, Delhi got 16 lakh vaccines and now in June, the Centre has further reduced the quota of Delhi to only 8 lakhs. CM Kejriwal said that 50 lakh vaccines have been imposed in Delhi so far. Now, Delhi needs 2.5 crore more vaccines. If Delhi gets only 8 lakh vaccines per month, it will take more than 30 months for all the youth of Delhi to get the vaccine. By then, there must have been so many waves of corona and how many people would have died without knowing it. CM Kejriwal said we should vaccinate as many people as possible in the shortest possible time.

CM Kejriwal has said that vaccine is a major weapon to protect people from the deadly impact of corona. The common man is scared because of the lack of vaccine. Kejriwal reiterated that Indian biotech should give its vaccine formula to other companies. The government should order them to prepare the vaccine on a war footing. These orders should be given in the next 24 hours.
