Police crackdown on Delhi violence case; 750 FIRs registered so far

New Delhi: 4 months have passed since the Delhi violence. A picture of the action being taken by the police in this case is also coming out. Delhi Police has registered 750 FIRs in cases related to violence. Many of these cases are being investigated by the Crime Branch of Delhi Police. If you look at the figures, 120 chargesheets have been filed in different courts in Delhi. Delhi Police and Crime Branch are currently investigating 630 cases. The major reason for delay in investigation is being told lockdown.

However, the chargesheet has been filed in the court, the court has not yet taken cognizance of the cases due to the incident. According to police sources, a total of 750 FIRs have been registered in the Delhi violence case. Of these, 690 FIRs are being investigated by the police of the local police i.e.North East district, in the remaining 60 cases, officers of the crime branch are investigating. According to the information received from sources, out of these 690 cases on which the local police is investigating, investigation of most of the cases is delayed.

The reason for the delay in investigating the cases related to the violence is being told to the lockdown. Chargesheet is yet to be filed in about 600 of the 690 cases of local police. The court has not yet taken cognizance of the cases in which the charge sheet has been filed, because during the lockdown, only the matter is being heard on the matter. At the same time, the crime branch has filed a charge sheet in the court in about 50 percent of its 60 cases.
