Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia said on Wednesday that CBSE should justify removing some chapters from the school curriculum and the board should have a 'very strong' reason for the move. Delhi Education Minister Manish Sisodia further said, "The Delhi government has always been in favour of curriculum reductions and I have said on many occasions that having more courses does not mean that students will learn more. I will be in the academic session 2020-21. I support the CBSE decision to reduce the syllabus for the secondary and senior secondary classes. But I have my doubts and concerns about the kind of deduction in the course. "

Sisodia also said that social science is the subject where the greatest scope of controversy remains. Attacking the government's move, Sisodia finally said, "The topics of removed social science are very important in the current context and the child should learn about these subjects from a verified source rather than WhatsApp University."
