The country recorded 1,210 new cases of coronavirus and nine deaths in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of deaths to 233 and cases to 50,207. A week ago, the Health Minister warned that there has been a serious increase in infection in the last six weeks and he appealed to all people to be safe and also requested to follow the guidelines issued by the government.

Meanwhile, on Sunday, Oman will begin a nationwide 10-week survey of 4.7 million people to analyze the spread of the virus, including blood samples to detect antibodies. In March, lockdown imposed in some areas of Oman such as Muscat, Duffer and Dukum, and some tourist cities, but since April it has gradually allowed the reopening of commercial centers and the end of lockdowns in the Muscat region, which includes the capital.

Except for repatriation flights, the air and land boundaries have remained closed. Saudi Arabia has the highest transition to the Gulf Cooperation Council of six countries. When it comes to all the Gulf countries, it shows more than 503,000 cases and more than 3,180 deaths simultaneously. The number of people infected in the world due to Coronavirus epidemic has reached close to 120 million. According to the latest data, there have been 11,954,942 cases of Covid-19 infected in the world. 546,720 people have died due to this infection. However, the number of people recovered from Corona has also reached 6,902,358. Constant efforts are being made to control the corona epidemic.
