New Delhi: The tremors were felt again in the national capital Delhi and NCR on Monday. Earthquake tremors have been felt in Delhi-NCR for the second time in the last 24 hours. Its intensity on the Richter scale has been measured at 2.7. Earlier, mild tremors were felt in Delhi and its surrounding areas on Sunday evening.

According to the National Center for Seismology (NCS), tremors of moderate-intensity were felt at 5.45 pm. The epicentre of this earthquake was located in the NCR region at latitude 28.7 degrees in the north and 77.2 degrees in the east at a depth of eight km from the surface.
The country has been divided into five zones in terms of high intensity of an earthquake. Delhi is located in the fourth zone of high intensity. Giving the information, senior scientist of the centre GL Gautam said that the epicentre of the earthquake was located in the Wazirabad area of North East Delhi at a depth of eight km from the ground. He said that tremors were felt in Noida, Ghaziabad and Faridabad in the eastern areas of NCR.
