New Delhi: The festival of Deepawali was celebrated across the country on 14 November. Despite ban on crackers, people burst cracker in Delhi. It can be estimated from this that the fire brigade in Delhi received 205 phone calls related to the fire.

According to the information received by the fire brigade, 129 out of these 205 phone calls of fire were found between 6 pm to midnight, ie midnight to 12 pm. There have also been reports of widespread damage in fire incidents in several areas of Delhi. There has also been a fire incident in Mundka area of Delhi. It is being told that a warehouse in Mundka area caught fire. In this case, the goods kept in the warehouse were burnt to ashes, while one person also lost his life. Significantly, this time Diwali has seen less incidents of fire than last year. There were more fire incidents in 2019 than in this year.

According to the Delhi Fire Department, there were 245 phone calls of fire in the capital on Diwali last year. Let us tell you that in view of the COVID-19 crisis and pollution levels, the Delhi government banned burning of firecrackers. This ban is in force till 30 November. The Delhi Police had spoken of stern action against those selling firecrackers and those who burnt them, but there was no fear of this among the people.
