The Delhi government has launched a 'Green Delhi’ mobile app that is intended to tackle norm violations. The mobile app will provide a platform for residents to submit complaints regarding violations of air pollution norms. In order to curb pollution levels in the national capital, this application is made. It tackles the issue of stubble burning to launch campaigns to raise awareness.  The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) led government has deployed several strategies to fight air pollutions.  This mobile application will provide a platform for residents to submit complaints regarding violations of air pollution norms

The app was released on Thursday 29 October.  The App is part of the Delhi government's seven-point plan to reduce air pollution which was launched by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.  Ahead of the launch, Delhi environment minister Gopal Rai held a review meeting with officials to discuss the app. The officials from Delhi Development Authority (DDA), the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), the three municipal corporations, the New Delhi Municipal Council, the revenue department, and the environment department attended the meeting. 

Residents will be able to register their complaints with photographs and videos,  A unique code will be allotted to each complaint, through which, residents will be able to track its status. Through the Green Delhi application, people will be able to notify the government about burning waste, industrial pollution, dust, etc., by registering complaints online."
