Let us tell you all that now the Delhi government has started sending notices to such people, who do not have the pollution certificate for their vehicles. According to the news received along with this, in the notice, the vehicle owners have been asked to make a pollution certificate or pay a fine. On the other hand, according to the news received, there are 17 lakh vehicles in Delhi, that do not have a pollution certificate. Yes, and of these, 13 lakh are two-wheelers and three lakh cars.

According to the officials, 14 lakh vehicle owners have been sent SMS asking them to make a pollution certificate of their vehicle or they will have to pay a hefty fine. At the same time, officials say, "Pollution in Delhi will start after 2-3 months, however, we want to ensure that vehicular pollution can be reduced." In such a situation, these vehicle owners have been asked to make a pollution certificate. At the same time, the official said that there is a legal provision to exempt vehicles which are not plying on the roads. The official said that recently a retired Army Colonel had written a letter to the transport department saying that his son was abroad and the vehicle was parked in the garage. At the same time, according to the official, the vehicles which are not running on the road, do not need a pollution certificate. But if such vehicles are found running on the road without a certificate, they will be fined.

According to the Motor Vehicles Act, if the vehicle is seen on the road without a PUC certificate, the owner can be punished with a punishment of 6 months in jail or a fine of Rs 10,000 or both. According to the Central Motor Vehicle Rules, 1989, all two-wheelers have to produce a PUC certificate every year. While in the case of a four-wheeler, for BS-IV it is one year, for the other vehicle, it has a period of three months. The PUC certificate has been created in real-time and integrated with the vehicle registration database. Let us tell you that more than 60 lakh PUC certificates were issued by the transport department last year. The PUC certificate examines polluting factors such as carbon monoxide (CO) and carbon dioxide (CO2) in vehicles and the certificate is issued.
