Tis Hazari dispute: Delhi Police gets a big shock from High Court, FIR will not be lodged against lawyers

New Delhi: The Delhi High Court has dismissed the reconsideration petition filed by the Delhi Police and the Ministry of Home Affairs. Simultaneously, the High Court has also dismissed the Delhi Police's plea seeking permission to register an FIR against the lawyers involved in the case in the Saket court. Violent clashes between lawyers and policemen took place on Wednesday (2 November) at Tis Hazari Court in Delhi, taking a violent turn.

While thousands of policemen protested on the streets of Delhi on Tuesday, the protests by lawyers running since November 2 created a ruckus on Wednesday (6 November). Lawyers are protesting outside three major courts of Delhi today. The functioning of three of the six courts (Patiala House Court, Rohini Court, Saket Court) has completely stopped. Not only this, but the lawyers have also closed the door of the Patiala House Court.

This reconsideration petition is to be filed against the order of the Delhi High Court which came up in a dispute in Tis Hazari court.
