New Delhi: The Delhi High Court lashed out at the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government over new cases of coronavirus growing in the country's capital Delhi. Slamming the Kejriwal government over the delay in taking new steps to tackle the Corona epidemic in Delhi, the Delhi High Court said that you were awakened from sleep and you turned around after asking our questions. The court also asked why you (Delhi government) delayed the decision to reduce the number of guests at weddings.

According to media reports, the court has asked the Delhi government why did you wait for 18 days to limit the number of people in wedding ceremonies? How many people died of corona infection during this period. The Delhi High Court took cognizance that the penalty for not wearing masks and not maintaining social distance is not having much effect.

Kejriwal government has again reduced the number of people attending weddings due to the increasing corona cases in Delhi. On Wednesday, the Delhi government's proposal to include 50 guests in place of 200 has been approved by the Lieutenant Governor (LG). Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia had said that the proposal of joining the 50 people instead of 200 people in weddings has been approved by the Lieutenant Governor. The Delhi government sent a proposal to this effect to LG on Tuesday.
