New Delhi: The lockdown has been extended by a week in the wake of the ongoing corona outbreak in the national capital. The lockdown will now remain in force in Delhi till May 17.
It may be recalled that Delhi has had a lockdown since April 19, which has been extended for the fourth time by the Kejriwal government. New cases of corona have declined considerably during lockdown and positivity rate has also been reduced. Kejriwal does not want to take any risk by removing the lockdown so it can increase again. State that the restrictions imposed during lockdown in Delhi will continue.
CM Arvind Kejriwal has said that new corona cases have started declining since the lockdown and positivity rates have also started declining. Now the positivity rate has come down to 23 per cent. CM Kejriwal said the biggest problem in Delhi has been oxygen. The need for oxygen here increased manifold suddenly. The oxygen situation in Delhi has now improved in the last several days.
