New Delhi: A man has been died in police custody at Lodhi Colony police station in the country's capital city. The family alleges that the man was killed by policemen. After receiving information about the incident, the South Delhi Police has suspended ASI Vijay Kumar for taking departmental action while 2 Constables Rajendra and Sandeep have been attached to the line. The magistrate's scrutiny is going on in the case after the post mortem.

In fact, an FIR was lodged in lodhi colony police station on October 22 in connection with the theft case. During the investigation, ASI Vijay Kumar, who was posted at Lodhi Colony police station, had summoned Dharamvir Prajapati, a resident of Chhawla, at 10:00 a.m. on October 24 for questioning. Dharamvir was kept sitting in the police station all day. Dharamvir died when he fell from the roof at 3-4 am on the 25th. Police say ASI Vijay Kumar was questioning Dharamvir at night. Vijay Kumar went to the bathroom for a while. When he returned, Dharamvir was not in the room. He was lying in a wounded condition under the building of the police station.

The police immediately reached the AIIMS trauma centre, where he succumbed to his injuries. The incident was reported to the family of the deceased. All the people reached the Morchani of AIIMS. The family members alleged that the policemen were asking for money to release Dharamvir. The family alleges that the money was not paid, which led to the killing of Dharamvir by the policemen.
