New Delhi: With the cold in Delhi-NCR, Fog is now prevailing. Dense fog was observed at Terminal 3 of IGI Airport in Delhi on Friday. Delhi is also recording a steady drop in temperature. The Met department has predicted dense fog in Delhi. Delhi International Airport has issued an alert asking passengers to contact the airline concerned for flight information due to fog.

More than 100 flights were delayed due to fog on the Delhi airport runway. Visibility had reportedly fallen from 50 to 100 meters by 9:30 am on Thursday. However, officials said no flights were cancelled or diverted. According to IMD, Delhi will experience severe cold with dense fog in the coming days. Fog is also being observed in NCR. It is expected to be sunny in Noida today. On the other hand, Gurugram will continue to be covered later today.

According to the Met department, a new west disturbance is also becoming active. This may bring light rain in Delhi-NCR on January 18 and 19 in the capital. This is followed by a cold wave in Delhi-NCR from next week. Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 5.8 degrees above normal and a maximum temperature of 16.7 degrees Celsius 3 degrees below normal on Wednesday.
