New Delhi: Commuting on the Delhi Metro is set to become significantly more convenient. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has unveiled a new WhatsApp-based ticketing service that will now be accessible on all routes throughout the Delhi Metro network. Initially introduced exclusively for the Airport Express Line, this service expansion encompasses all Delhi Metro lines within the National Capital Region (NCR), including the Gurgaon Rapid Metro. This initiative is the result of a collaboration between DMRC, Meta, and their authorized partner, Pelocal Fintech Pvt Ltd.

Passengers who have experienced the benefits of the service on the Airport Express Line can attest to its efficiency. Commuters need only send a simple text message, "Hi," to +91 9650855800 via WhatsApp or scan the provided QR code to effortlessly purchase metro tickets using their smartphones across the entire Delhi metro network.

Notable Features of the Delhi Metro WhatsApp Ticket Service:

Multilingual Support: The WhatsApp chatbot offers both English and Hindi language options.

Network-Wide Coverage: The service now extends to all Delhi Metro corridors and includes all stations, including those on the Gurgaon Rapid Metro.

Effortless Ticket Purchase: Commuters can secure their tickets with a single click from any location.

Booking Hours: Ticket bookings can be made between 6 am and 9 pm on all metro lines, while the Airport Express Line (Orange Line) allows bookings from 4 am to 11 pm.

No Cancellation Option: Please note that ticket cancellations are not facilitated through the WhatsApp ticketing service.

Fee Structure: For UPI-based transactions, there are no convenience fees, though a nominal fee applies to credit/debit card transactions.
How to Utilize the Service:

To access this service, passengers are required to add DMRC's WhatsApp number, 9650855800, to their phone's contact list.

Commuters can initiate the ticketing process by sending a text message containing "Hi" to the aforementioned number or by scanning the provided QR code.
In cases of group travel, up to six QR code-based tickets can be generated simultaneously.

This expansion of the WhatsApp ticketing service promises to make commuting on the Delhi Metro even more hassle-free and user-friendly for passengers across the region.
