NEW DELHI: The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has launched a new feature, the "Multiple Journey QR Ticket (MJQRT)," starting September 12. This feature aims to simplify the ticketing process for frequent travelers by eliminating the need to purchase daily QR tickets. The MJQRT offers a convenient and efficient way to manage multiple journeys on the Delhi Metro.
From September 13, Delhi residents can access the MJQRT via the DMRC's Delhi Metro Sarathi (Momentum 2.0) app. To use this new feature, users need to register on the app and start with a minimum amount of ₹150, which will be credited to their MJQRT account. "There is no security deposit required for the MJQRT," DMRC said.
Users must maintain a minimum balance of ₹60 to travel using the MJQRT. The system allows for flexible recharges, with users able to add funds in multiples of ₹50 through digital payment methods like UPI, credit cards, and debit cards. The maximum balance limit for the MJQRT is ₹3,000.
The MJQRT also offers attractive discounts: a 10% discount during peak hours (8 AM - 12 PM and 5 PM - 9 PM) and a 20% discount during off-peak hours.
How to Use the Multiple Journey QR Ticket:
For added security, if your mobile phone is lost, stolen, or damaged, the remaining balance will be preserved. You can recover and continue using your MJQRT by logging in on a different device.
