New Delhi: A Hindu temple in Kakraula village under South-West Delhi has been reported to have been vandalized. Anti-social elements not only ransacked the temple but also damaged the idol of Hanuman Ji. At the same time, statues of other deities were also damaged. The incident took place on Monday night (April 12, 2021). Several people gathered near the temple after the incident came to light in the morning.
Speaking on the day of The Indian New Year and New Night, Vinod Bansal, National Spokesperson, Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) said, "It is heart-rending to hear that idols of deities were demolished at Mata Sahaj Kaur Kuldevi-Hanuman Temple in Kakraula village of west Delhi on the first day of the Indian New Year and New Night. Bajrang Dal workers reached the spot on Tuesday afternoon and staged a protest. They said such incidents are on the rise in Delhi.
Bansal said the increasing incidents of attacks on Hindus and temples in the capital Delhi and the indifference of the police administration have added to the concerns of the Hindu community. He demanded strict action from Delhi Police against the culprits. Talking to the media, Vinod Bansal said that such incidents have created resentment among Hindus and the police should also understand it and take immediate action.
