New Delhi: Delhi Police's Intelligence Fusion and Strategic Operations (IFSO) unit has busted an online exam hacking racket. 6 persons have been arrested in the incident so far. The preliminary investigation revealed that criminals used to break into all exam portals and manipulate answer sheets with the help of Russian hackers. According to Delhi Police sources, the syndicate also achieved a GMAT score of 780 out of 800. One of the criminals arrested by Delhi Police has a cash reward of Rs 1 lakh and is also a wanted of CBI.

In 2021, CBI busted a similar module that was manipulating JEE Mains. According to reports, raids were conducted in Mumbai, Delhi, Gurgaon and Jaipur to unearth the racket. 15 laptops and 9 mobile phones have been recovered from the arrested criminals.

It is being said that a criminal Raj Teotia is wanted in a CBI case. He was arrested from Haryana. A reward of Rs 1 lakh is registered on him. The criminal had downloaded remote access software which was not detectable. Raj was in contact with Russian hackers and he also went to Russia in 2018. It is being said that some Russian hackers also stayed at his house due to the lockdown. The police also seized a tool developed by the reputed IT company from Raj's house through which hackers used to hack the online exam system through remote. Now the matter is being investigated by the police.
