This morning, I prayed at the historic Gurudwara Rakab Ganj Sahib, where the pious body of Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji was cremated. I felt extremely blessed. I, like millions around the world, am deeply inspired by the kindnesses of Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji. pic.twitter.com/ECveWV9JjR

PM Modi arrived here, there was no special police system nor any kind of traffic diversion was done. The PM reached Gurdwara Rakabganj like a normal person in the midst of a hard winter in the morning and worshipped him. This visit of PM Narendra Modi was decided suddenly. Therefore there were no special security arrangements around the gurudwara. Gurdwara Rakabganj of Delhi is a sacred place of Sikhs and is located near Parliament House which was built in 1783. The Mughal ruler Aurangzeb had beheaded Guru Tegh Bahadur at Chandni Chowk, Delhi on 11 November 1675 AD.
This is the place where Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, the ninth Guru of the Sikhs, was cremated. The prime minister's visit in the national capital to gurudwara assumes significance as it comes amid intense protests by farmers, especially from Punjab, against the three farm laws enacted by his government.
