New Delhi: Delhi police have got success in the case of the snatching of PM Narendra Modi's niece Damayanti Modi in the national capital Delhi. The police has arrested an accused in this case. Delhi Police has said that an accused named Nonu has been arrested in this incident of Jhapatmari and the entire belongings of PM Modi's niece have also been recovered.
The accused Nonu has been arrested by the police from Barwani village in Sonepat. After the incident, when the raid was conducted on the whereabouts of the accused in Delhi, the man escaped seeing the police team, after which the police team chased him and arrested him from Sonipat. According to police, the accused was identified with CCTV camera photographs. Finally, the police have caught one of the accused. According to the police, soon another one will be in police custody.
The incident happened when two bike-valmiborne miscreants snatched the purse from Damayanti Ben Modi, daughter of the prime minister's brother, outside the gates of Gujrati Samaj Bhawan in Civil Lines at around 7 am. The miscreants grabbed purse, cash and mobile from PM Modi's niece Damayanti and escaped.
