New Delhi: Delhi Police have detained several Congress workers, including veteran party leaders Shashi Tharoor, CM Ashok Gehlot, and Sachin Pilot, who were protesting against the Enforcement Directorate's (ED) questioning of Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi in the much-hyped National Herald case. CM Gehlot said that Sonia Gandhi is more than 70 years of age, in such a situation, the ED should have come to her house and questioned her. The misuse of ED at the moment is obvious, it is not a new thing.

During the Congress protest, Union Minister Anurag Thakur said, "If the Congress has nothing to hide, then what is the necessity of creating a ruckus? Why is it a travesty, why is there panic, why is there a fuss? It shows somewhere that there is something black in the dal or else the whole dal is black. If the Gandhi family is unblemished, why is it now unblemished? If the Gandhi family did not commit corruption, why is there a ruckus? After all, if anyone has committed corruption against the citizens of India, it is the job of the agencies to interrogate her. Will there be a separate law for the Gandhi family now?''

Apart from Anurag Thakur, former Union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said, "When PM Modi was the CM of Gujarat, he faced inquiries in many cases. But did we oppose? On the one hand, there is the BJP, which respects the agencies.'' On the other side, there is Congress, which breaks the morale of the investigating agencies. Prasad further said, "When Narendra Modi was the CM of Gujarat, many cases were started against him. Modi ji, despite being the CM, appeared before the investigating agencies and answered their questions for 12 hours. Was there any protest in Delhi at that time?''
