New Delhi: A woman constable of the Delhi Police on Thursday committed suicide by hanging herself with a fan inside her house in Bharat Vihar in Delhi's Dwarka district. According to the information, the deceased woman constable has been identified as Sharda. Originally a resident of Rajasthan, Sharda lived alone in her house here.

As soon as the incident was reported, the police reached the spot and got a suicide note from the dead body. She is posted in Rajasthan. Her children live in hostels somewhere. The female constable was admitted to the Delhi Police in 2006 as a constable. Police have informed the woman constable's husband and other family members and sent the body for postmortem.

The police is questioning their neighbours as well as their jobbers. The local police is also investigating the call details. The cause of the suicide has not been ascertained for the time being, police say, after coming postmortem report and talking to family members, anything can be said.
