New Delhi: As Diwali draws to a close, the police has started to crack down on illegal firecrackers and its illegal traders. In the same sequence, even after the firecrackers were banned in the national capital, Delhi is being deposited before Diwali. On Monday afternoon, the Bindapur police station seized 146 kg of firecrackers and arrested a youth.

The accused Deepak Kumar had illegally kept firecrackers in his warehouse. Jitendra and Ramkishan, the head constables posted at Bindapur police station, received intelligence that a large number of firecrackers were kept in a warehouse in Milap Nagar area. Which is deposited by a young man named Deepak. When the police started keeping an eye on Deepak, on Monday, Deepak was bringing firecrackers in the bag and then the police team caught him. During interrogation, the accused said that he has collected fireworks in the warehouse of house number G-15 in Milap Nagar area.

The police seized 146 kg firecrackers in 8 bags by raiding the accused. The police have registered a case of Section 286 and 5/9 Explosive Act of IPC against Deepak.
